Greatest Hits

On the off-chance my filmic opinion might effect what you choose to see something first needs to be cleared up. When listening to someone talk about movies, it is important to know what their taste is. Mine is broad, ecclectic, perhaps a little odd. With a gun to my head I would list my top 5 films of all time as
1. Gosford Park
2. Bring It On
3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
4. Shaun of the Dead
5. Sunshine
I have received grief for all of these choices. That's half the fun of a movie - getting opinionated without troubling taboo topics that will shut a conversation down. Why bother with politics and religion, when you can get heated about Quentin Tarantino?
What I love (LOVE) is the magic of sitting in a cinema and having someone create world in front of you. Movies are contradictory creatures. Somehow sitting in a dark room with a group of people all staring in one direction has become one of our favourite social past times. An experience enjoyed, is enjoyed so much more when you can gasp about it later with a friend.
This blog will offer my honest, unbribed opinion on all the movies I see. If you disagree, please feel free to let me know.

I enjoyed all those you listed except Bring It On (I'm more of a Drop Dead Gorgeous/Jawbreaker guy in that genre)
I liked Gosford Park too, but must admit there are lots of Altman films I prefer (EG: Long Goodbye, Nashville, Mccabe and Mrs Miller, The Player etc)
Welcome to Orble.
