Before I start my monolouge about the new design and the soon-to-be content of the site, I should probably clear a few things up first.
First: I know it's been a very long time since I've updated Wag the Film on some kind of regular basis. What were the reasons for this: none of which are all too special. Too time-consuming, general lack of interest, and just plain forgetfulness. I'm hoping to rectify that problem and bring you everything (and anything) film-related in the coming months, whether it be news, reviews, commentery on the industry, etc. That being said, I probably just jinxed myself right now (see you back here same time on August 24!!!)
Second: I love film. That is why Wag the Film still exists today and why I am trying to raise it up from the dead.
With those things in mind, I want to welcome you to the new era of Wag the Film. Along with a brand-new design (which is still in the works), Wag the Film will come back with both new and old content. To be back will be my analysis of the box-office predictions for the new slate of film's that come out every new week.
There will also be new categories. First there will be a new section called the Wag the Film Review Center, which will be dedicated for reviews of any movie that pops up in my head. This could range from some classic like It Happened One Night to Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. Of course, you, the reader, are more than welcomed to request a film for me to review (be as random as you want to be, I always like a good challenge).
There will also be a section dedicated to looking back on the film news of the week, where I'll throw in my two-cents on the subject. That and much more ("best of" list, "worst of" list, etc.)
It's great to be back working on Wag the Film again and I hope you enjoy.
